Shipping and Logistics

Budco has long-standing relationships with all major transportation and logistics providers, as well as a network of business partners who specialize in regionally focused bulk and small package delivery services. This allows us to provide our clients with a variety of options to optimize cost and efficiency for both domestic and international shipping needs. Budco’s warehousing, order management and shipping systems are integrated with the shipping and tracking systems of all major carriers, ensuring real-time access to shipment notifications, package tracking, shipping costs, expedited billing and more.

With more than 60 million letters going out of Budco annually, we use the latest technology to prepare and sort mail for delivery to the USPS, thus ensuring the lowest possible postal rates for our clients. Budco is certified by the USPS for Plant Verification Drop Shipment (PVDS) making us an authorized Detached Mail Unit (DMU). This means all outgoing mail is verified by a Postal Inspector onsite at Budco rather than at the Bulk Mail Center (BMC). This expedites entry into the mail stream and helps speed delivery, often by as much as one day.

Additionally, Budco uses a specialized process that allows mail to be inducted deeper into the mail stream at the Sectional Center Facility (SCF) level, as opposed to the BMC level. This process achieves a greater postage savings and speeds deliver by as much as two days.

Budco also uses Intelligent Mail Barcoding (IMB), utilizing a single barcode to participate in multiple Postal Service programs, expand tracking capability, and increase mail stream visibility.
