Lettershop and Finishing

Lettershop and Finishing

Budco handles collation, drilling, punching, lamination, shrink-wrapping, cutting, folding, inserting, stitching, labeling, tabbing, tipping, ink-jetting and more. Using both highly automated and manual finishing approaches, we manage hundreds of millions of individual items, components and kits each year.

We have a mix of highly-automated equipment and skilled operators that, together, ensure the highest level of quality and cost efficiency in all of our fulfillment and direct marketing activities. In-line scanner systems are used to control folding and inserting functions for high volume mail processing and custom collation, including scanners mounted to production equipment to verify sequential numbers, barcodes, OCR fonts or other pre-defined characters to ensure exacting quality.

With more than 60 million letters going out of Budco annually, we use the most advanced mailing and shipping technology and maintain a close working partnership with the U.S. Postal Service. Budco serves as an official Detached Mail Unit (DMU), allowing mail to be inducted into the mail stream directly from our Budco facilities.

Budco also uses Intelligent Mail Barcoding (IMB), utilizing a single barcode to participate in multiple Postal Service programs, expand tracking capability, and increase mail stream visibility.
