Budco: A winner at this year's Direct Marketing Association of Detroit 2008 Target Awards


Budco was honored at this year's 2008 Target Awards winning two awards in different categories.

"This year, we entered two examples of Budco's creative and production services for Ford Motor Company and St. John Health and were excited to learn we won awards in both categories," said Thom Gulock, creative director for Budco Creative Services.

In an awards ceremony held October 20th at the Detroit Institute of Arts, Budco representatives Claudia Vala, Thom Gulock and Mark Beltaire were presented a third place Target Award in automotive for work on the Ford Accessories "Big Kahuna" travel incentive program, as well as a first place award in the pharmaceutical/healthcare category for work on St. John Health Emergency Room direct mail campaign.

"We were in a league with major creative agencies like Campbell-Ewald and Doner to mention a few, so winning these awards was a very special experience for our company. It shows we can race against the best and win," added account manager Claudia Vala.

Budco team members on both projects included Susie Hartl, Janelle Gurchinoff, Mike Bell, Joe Judge and Bill Heedum in addition to Gulock, Vala and Beltaire.

"With another competition coming up early next year, hopefully we will be entering a number of successful client projects that deliver results and innovative thinking for our clients. Our approaches in this area will help us continue our winning streak," said Mark Beltaire, Budco's senior creative marketing executive.
